The Galicia Europa Foundation and the Compostela Chamber, supported by their partners, will hold the European Rural Youth Summit in Brussels, under the umbrella of the RUYOU project.
The specific objectives of the project have been the creation of a forum for transnational public debate and the free expression of young European voices, designing a creative space where young people from rural and urban areas can collaborate to create solution and opportunities for young people in the same situation across Europe.

To show the European Union’s opinion makers through an innovation event the results, ideas, projects, prototypes on its future
Introduce the team of ambassadors of the project that ensures it’s sustainability for the Rural Youth Project
During the inaugural day of the Rural Youth Summit, all attendees will have the opportunity to visit the European Parliament. A dedicated activity will showcase three prototypes developed through the Rural Youth of Europe initiative, facilitating a deeper understanding among young participants about the promotion of European projects.

Rural youth summit
A NEW WAY TO CREATE A WORLD OF IDEAS
Since December 2023, staff from the Galicia Europe Foundation and the Compostela Chamber, IVY volunteers from the Foundation and the Chamber, and young interns, have been meeting regularly with the aim of organising the first aspects of the Rural Youth Summit that will tae place in Brussels in the 16th and 17th of April.
The theme of the summit «Europe: towards Rural 2030», is in line with the mission of the Rural Youth Of Europe (RUYOU) project empower rural youth.
